GATE 2025: The deadline to register for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 without incurring a late fee is fast approaching. If you are a candidate preparing for this prestigious examination, it is crucial to submit your application as soon as possible. This year, the GATE 2025 exam is being conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT Roorkee). Interested candidates should visit the official website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in to complete their registration.
After receiving multiple requests from candidates, IIT Roorkee has extended the registration deadline without late fees. Candidates who miss this deadline will have to pay a late fee to apply. Hence, it’s advisable to submit your application before the last date to avoid additional charges.
The GATE 2025 examination will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) in two sessions: the morning session from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and the afternoon session from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Candidates are allowed to sit for a maximum of two test papers from a specified combination of subjects.
Final-year graduation students or those who have completed their degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities can apply for GATE 2025. Notably, there is no age limit to apply for the GATE exam.
GATE scores are used for admission into postgraduate programs in prestigious institutions like IITs, IISERs, and IISc. In addition, several Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) use GATE results for recruitment purposes.
