Internet Outage: Thousands of Astound RCN users across Chicago and nearby suburbs, including Skokie, Morton Grove, and Evanston, experienced significant internet outages on Monday afternoon. By 3:39 p.m., over 3,000 customers had reported connectivity issues via Down Detector.
Astound Broadband, which owns RCN, has not yet commented on the cause of the disruption. Users in the affected areas await updates as technicians work to restore service.
