Chris Matthews Urges Democrats to ‘Repay’ Liz Cheney’s ‘Heroic’ Efforts if They Win the Election

Chris Matthews: Former MSNBC host Chris Matthews praised Liz Cheney as “a heroic figure,” urging Democrats to honor her commitment to truth if they win in 2024. On Morning Joe, Matthews commended Cheney’s stance against former President Trump and her role on the Jan. 6 Capitol riot committee, calling her sacrifices “almost like a character out of a movie.”

Matthews argued that Democrats need to address key issues like inflation and border security, while showing the same courage Cheney displayed. He emphasized, “If you’re going to use her, repay her when you get into office.” He challenged Democrats to clean up their act and take stronger actions, stating, “You have to get serious and show guts, just like Cheney has.”
