Amazon Prime Members Enjoy New Fuel Savings: 10-Cent Discount at Gas Stations Nationwide

Amazon Prime Gas Discount: Amazon Prime has just rolled out an exciting new benefit for its members: a 10-cent discount per gallon on fuel purchases at approximately 7,000 gas stations across the United States. This new perk, available at BP, Amoco, and Ampm locations, promises significant savings at the pump, aligning with Amazon’s commitment to enhance the value of its Prime membership.

To access the fuel discount, Prime members must link their accounts with Earnify, BP’s loyalty program. This integration allows members to automatically save an impressive $0.10 on every gallon of gas purchased, enhancing their overall shopping experience. “We’re thrilled to offer this valuable new benefit to our Prime members, helping them save money on a necessary expense,” said Jamil Ghani, Vice President of Amazon Prime.

How It Works

To take advantage of this offer, Prime members need to activate their fuel discount by visiting amazon.com/fuelsavings and creating a free Earnify account. The process is straightforward—after linking accounts, members can simply enter their phone number or use the Earnify app when fueling up. This new benefit is expected to save the average Prime member around $70 a year on gas, making it a highly attractive addition to the membership’s existing perks, which include free shipping, Prime Video, and more.

Competitive Edge in the Subscription Market

This latest offering positions Amazon Prime competitively against Walmart+, which has provided similar gas discounts for years. With fuel prices averaging $3.155 per gallon nationally, this initiative comes at a crucial time as many Americans are feeling the pinch of rising costs. As consumers increasingly seek value in their subscriptions, the gas discount could prove to be a game-changer in attracting new members and retaining existing ones.

Additionally, looking ahead to 2025, Amazon plans to expand this fuel savings program to include discounts on electric vehicle charging through BP Pulse, further catering to the growing market of eco-conscious consumers.
