GTA 6 Release Date and Worldwide Launch Time Revealed for November 2026

The GTA 6 release date is set for Nov. 19, 2026, and new PlayStation Store listings have reportedly revealed when players around the world will be able to start the highly anticipated game. Unlike a single global launch moment, the game is expected to become available at midnight in each player’s local time zone.

Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game is currently scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 19, after Rockstar previously moved the release date.

The newly reported timing could mean a late-night or early-morning start for players depending on where they live.

GTA 6 Release Time Varies by Time Zone

According to PlayStation Store listings cited by Indy100, GTA 6 will use a staggered midnight launch rather than releasing simultaneously worldwide.

That means players should be able to access the game at 12 a.m. on Nov. 19 in their respective local time zones. Players in some regions will therefore begin playing considerably earlier than those elsewhere in the world.

For example, the reported schedule places the UK launch at midnight local time, while the equivalent release occurs at 5 a.m. UTC for the Eastern time zone and 8 a.m. UTC for the Pacific time zone.

The timing is particularly notable for fans planning to play immediately at launch, since the local-midnight approach could turn the GTA 6 release date into a late-night event for players in some parts of the world.

GTA 6 Pre-Orders and Early Access

Two editions of the game are currently available for pre-order: Standard and Ultimate.

Indy100 reports that customers who pre-order either version can load the game a week early, beginning Nov. 12.

Rockstar has also continued its promotional push ahead of launch, including a recently released extended look at the game that runs for about 27 minutes and was accompanied by new screenshots.

The game stars Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, with the latter’s actor, Manni L. Perez, recently confirming her involvement after months of speculation.
