New Star Wars Trilogy: Simon Kinberg has been officially hired by Lucasfilm to write and produce a brand-new Star Wars trilogy. Kinberg brings a new point of view to this beloved galaxy far, far away. He is known for having a lot of experience with sci-fi and action franchises. Kathleen Kennedy, who is the CEO of Lucasfilm, will also produce the trilogy. She wants to bring in completely new characters and stories.

The epic storyline that kept fans interested over nine episodes will not continue in this trilogy. It will instead be the start of a whole new story that will take the Star Wars universe in a different direction. Even though some well-known characters may show up, the show will mostly be about new characters and stories that haven’t been told before.

Kinberg has been a part of Star Wars before. He helped make Star Wars Rebels, an animated show that ran from 2014 to 2018 and was nominated for an Emmy. He also helped with The Force Awakens and gave advice when the series started up again in 2015 after Disney bought Lucasfilm.

Kinberg has made many franchise movies before Star Wars. Huge hits like Logan, Deadpool, and The Martian were made with his help. He’s working on a lot of big projects right now, like a Star Trek movie and a new version of Stephen King’s “The Running Man.” His work on big, character-driven stories should give this new Star Wars trilogy a unique touch.

Lucasfilm has already hired other directors for new trilogies, like Rian Johnson, who directed Knives Out, and David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, who created Game of Thrones. But those plans were never put into action. Now that Kinberg is involved, there is new hope for the Star Wars universe to go in a different direction.

Skeleton Crew, a new TV series launching on Disney+ on 3 December, will be the next step for Star Wars fans. There aren’t many details about Kinberg’s trilogy yet, but people are really looking forward to this new part of the Star Wars story.
