Athens — University of Georgia men’s basketball just received the largest single donation in the school’s athletic history. UGA alumnus and successful entrepreneur Adam Wexler has committed $10 million to help elevate the Bulldogs program to new heights.

The gift, announced Thursday at the athletic board meeting, will primarily support personnel and operating expenses for the basketball program, with a portion directed to the Athletic Director Excellence Fund. It comes at a crucial time as college athletics navigates the rapidly changing landscape of NIL deals and roster building.

Wexler, a 2007 Terry College of Business graduate and founder of the popular fantasy sports platform PrizePicks, expressed deep personal ties to the university. His father, Alan, was a two-sport athlete who competed in football and track for the Bulldogs.

“There has never been a more interesting time in the history of collegiate athletics for donors to make a difference,” Wexler said. “I’d love for this to be the start of something much bigger for the Bulldog community.”

Head coach Mike White welcomed the transformative gift, noting it will significantly aid the program’s goal of becoming a consistent national contender. Georgia has shown strong progress in recent seasons, securing back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances and setting a new program record for regular-season wins.

Athletic Director Josh Brooks praised the donation as an anchor commitment that will support the long-term competitive standing and national ambitions of Georgia basketball.

This major contribution from Wexler — who also serves as CEO of The Hidden Jams music discovery platform — underscores growing alumni investment in elevating Georgia’s basketball program amid the evolving realities of modern college sports.

The Bulldogs and their fans have plenty of reason to feel optimistic as this record gift fuels momentum heading into the future.
