Young Wisconsin Republican: Nolan Jackett, a young Republican activist from Wisconsin, explains that his support for the “America First” agenda stems from economic challenges and immigration issues faced by many in his generation. According to Jackett, who is based in the critical swing state, these concerns have driven many young voters like him to back former President Donald Trump.
Jackett emphasized his confidence in Trump’s approach, downplaying concerns about potential undemocratic actions if Trump were re-elected. “The vengeance is going to winning, going back to the White House, and enacting the ‘America First’ agenda. That is going to be the ultimate revenge – that’s all we need to do,” he said during a watch party in Milwaukee.
Foreign policy is another key factor in Jackett’s support. “I don’t want to go fight in foreign wars for lobbyists and special interests in Washington, DC,” he said, highlighting Trump’s unique record among recent presidents for not initiating new conflicts.
For Jackett and other young Republicans, the “America First” platform represents a clear focus on domestic priorities, limited foreign intervention, and economic policies that resonate with those feeling the impact of current economic challenges.
