Kellyanne Conway Calls Out Mark Cuban’s “Misogynistic” Remarks, Defends Trump’s Circle of Strong Women

Kellyanne Conway: In a fiery response to billionaire Mark Cuban, former White House counselor Kellyanne Conway labeled him a “misogynist” following his comments on The View claiming that Donald Trump does not surround himself with “intelligent women.” Cuban’s remarks, made Thursday, have sparked strong backlash from Conway and Trump supporters, who view them as an insult to the women in Trump’s inner circle and the millions who support him nationwide.

Conway Defends Trump’s Female Advisors and Supporters

On The View, Cuban, a high-profile supporter of Vice President Kamala Harris, accused Trump of feeling “intimidated” by strong women, stating, “You never see him around strong, intelligent women. Ever.” Conway quickly responded, describing Cuban’s comments as “elitist and desperate,” aiming to discredit the capable women who have worked closely with Trump.

Speaking from the Ellipse in Washington, D.C., Conway emphasized the significant roles women have held in Trump’s administration, including Ivanka Trump, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Mercedes Schlapp, and herself. “Show me a C-suite in America or any of Cuban’s ventures where working mothers hold top positions,” she challenged, underscoring that Trump’s team included women balancing high-ranking positions with family responsibilities.

Conway continued, “[Trump] is unafraid to surround himself with strong, intelligent, capable men and women.” She cited her own experience as a testament to this, highlighting her role as the first woman to lead a successful presidential campaign in 2016.

Cuban’s Comments Fuel Backlash from Trump Supporters

Cuban’s remarks were met with immediate criticism from Trump’s supporters, including National Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who called his comments “extremely insulting” to the thousands of women who have worked for Trump and the millions who stand by him. Leavitt stated, “This is an attack on the tens of millions of women who proudly support Donald Trump.”

Conway also addressed recent statements by other high-profile Democrats, including President Joe Biden’s “garbage” comment about Trump supporters. “Whether it’s Joe Biden calling us garbage, or Hillary Clinton labeling us ‘deplorables,’ this elitist language shows they’re disconnected from the American people,” she remarked, suggesting that such rhetoric might alienate voters in the closing days of the election.

High-Stakes Election Sparks Heated Exchanges

Cuban’s comments come at a critical juncture, as both parties intensify efforts to win over undecided voters. Cuban, appearing via video from a private jet, has been actively campaigning for Harris, drawing attention for his critiques of Trump and his allies. However, Conway argues that his approach is misguided, saying, “These attacks don’t resonate with everyday Americans who see themselves in Trump’s circle.”

As Election Day nears, both sides are pushing to solidify their base, with the Trump campaign relying on support from women like Conway to counter claims of alleged misogyny. “What I care about is defending the tens of millions of strong, intelligent women who will vote for Donald Trump,” Conway concluded, rallying her audience and challenging critics to reconsider their view of Trump’s base.

Analysis: Impact on 2024 Voter Sentiment

In a polarized environment, the Conway-Cuban exchange reflects the intensity of this year’s race, with both parties’ rhetoric under scrutiny. As the election draws closer, how these remarks resonate with key voting demographics, particularly women, may prove significant in shaping final voter sentiment.
