New Delhi: The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, initiated by the Central Government to support farmers financially, has been a vital scheme for increasing farmers’ income. Since its inception, the scheme has disbursed 17 installments, and now, farmers across India eagerly await the 18th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana.
This government initiative provides financial assistance to small and marginal farmers, with the central government directly transferring funds to eligible beneficiaries. Under the scheme, farmers receive ₹6,000 annually in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each. But a common question arises: Between a husband and wife, who is eligible to receive the benefits?

The much-awaited 18th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana is likely to be credited into farmers’ bank accounts by October 2024. The previous 17th installment was disbursed in June 2024, and according to the scheme’s schedule, the next payment is expected around October or November. Since the festive season of Diwali falls on 31st October 2024, there is speculation that the government may release the funds before Diwali.
However, as of now, no official confirmation has been made by the government regarding the exact date of the release of the 18th installment.
